From Illustration,
to Motion.

I started my creative career as a freelance illustrator, alongside working full-time as a production assistant. During that time, I picked up illustration jobs wherever I could — designing websites, creating logos, and, in my spare moments, dreaming up characters from far-away worlds just for fun.
Starting out ...
One day at work, while I was hunched over a drawing at my desk, a friend asked me a simple question:
“Have you ever thought about motion design?”
He told me I’d be great at it — that I could take my illustrations and actually make them move. That idea completely clicked.
Not long after, I enrolled in School of Motion, taking Illustration for Motion with Sarah Beth Morgan. For four months, I was creating nonstop — learning how illustration and animation work together, and falling in love with the idea of designing artwork that could live beyond the static frame.
(Above and below are a selection of design briefs I’ve worked on, including creating mouth-watering noodles for Tasty Tidbits, and bringing Grandma’s Kitchen to life — a sweet-treat brand filled with cookies, milkshakes, and donuts.
Also illustrated is Candy Cart, a mobile app that lets you order sweet treats straight to your door.
All of these illustrations were created with motion in mind, carefully designed and built ready to be animated later.)

At first, I loved the collaborative process — creating illustrations that would be handed over to a motion designer — but it didn’t take long before I wanted to take things one step further and animate my own work. So I dove headfirst into learning After Effects, completing After Effects Kickstart and a Beginner’s Guide to After Effects.
From there, I haven’t looked back. Illustration is still the heart of my work, but motion is where everything really comes to life.
Lately, I’ve been having a lot of fun diving into frame-by-frame animation on my iPad — sketching, experimenting, and bringing drawings to life one frame at a time. Below are a selection of logos and frame-by-frame pieces that show this side of my work (and my love for making things move ✨).
